How To Measure For Net Curtains
Step 1: Measuring the Width
Measure the inside of your window frame from one side to the other (or the full width of the area you want to cover).
Pro tip: Use a metal tape measure and pull it straight across at the level where your curtain will hang to avoid any slack.

Step 2: Selecting the Drop (Length)
Measure from the top of your curtain rod or wire to the point where you’d like the net curtain to finish (for example, just to the window sill, to the radiator top or to the floor).
Here are common drop sizes (you can use whichever is nearest or custom-order for best fit):
- 68 cm / 27″
- 76 cm / 30″
- 91 cm / 36″
- 101 cm / 40″
- 106 cm / 42″
- 114 cm / 45″
- 122 cm / 48″
- 137 cm / 54″
- 153 cm / 60″
- 160 cm / 63″
- 183 cm / 72″
- 206 cm / 81″
- 229 cm / 90″
- 275 cm /108″

Step 3: Choosing Your Gather (Fullness)
Gather refers to how much fabric is used compared to the width of your window. More gather creates a fuller, more luxurious appearance and increases privacy.
On our website, simply select your actual window width and then choose your preferred gather option:
• Flat (No Gather) – The curtain width will match your window width exactly. Suitable where a flat appearance is preferred.
• 1.5x Gather – A light gather with gentle folds.
• 2x Gather (Recommended) – Our most popular option, providing an attractive balance of fullness, privacy and natural light.
• 2.5x Gather – Fuller folds with increased privacy and a more luxurious appearance.
• 3x Gather – Maximum fullness, creating rich folds and the highest level of privacy.
If your window measures 2 metres wide:
• Flat = 2 metres of net
• 1.5x Gather = 3 metres of net
• 2x Gather = 4 metres of net
• 2.5x Gather = 5 metres of net
• 3x Gather = 6 metres of net
